The below death notification has been reprinted here from Volume 3, Issue 4 of the Crawford County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society Newsletter in November 1977.
Leo E. Spiegel, husband of our C.C.G.S. president, Lucy Spegel, died October 20, 1977. The son of Frederick W. and Edna Edith (Chance) Spiegel, he married on Aug. 30, 1935 th former Lucy Hopkins, who survives along with a daughter, Mrs. E.L. (Frances) Reiter; three sons, James E. and Atty. John L. and Wayne W. Speigel; two granddaughters; a brother, Warren Spegel and one sister, Mrs. Raymond (Wilma) Shields. One brother is deceased. The burial in Oakwood Cemetery was October 22, 1977.
