2022 Chapter meetings & Local Events

Thursday, April 21st 7pm Chapter meeting at New Washington St. John’s Church. Member Bruce Shealy’s program on the Shealy family he is working on for the reunion.

Thursday, May 19th 7pm – Chapter meeting at Bucyrus Public Library in the downstairs meeting room. Member Linda Collins presents a program on her book, characters are fictional, but all the settings and events are real. It takes place in 1777-1778 at Hopewell Furnace which made cannon and shot for the Patriots and Philadelphia during the British occupation in the Revolutionary War.

Thursday, June 16th 7pm – Chapter meeting at Bucyrus Public Library in the downstairs meeting room. Member Tony Rose has been working hard on updating cemeteries and records, along with some volunteers. He will share his progress at the meeting.

Thursday, September 15th 7pm – Chapter meeting at Bucyrus Public Library in the downstairs meeting room. Gerry Payn presents a program and pictures about President Lincoln’s funeral train.

Thursday, October 20th 7pm – Chapter meeting at Bucyrus Public Library in the downstairs meeting room. Ron Echelberger does cemetery and tombstone restorations. He has worked in Crawford County moving two markers here and restoring them. He will talk about restoration of tombstones.

Thursday, November 17th 7pm – Chapter meeting at Bucyrus Public Library in the downstairs meeting room. Member Show and Tell, also election of officers and Social time for members.
