The Crawford County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society hosted Mike Hocker, photo restore and preservation expert, for the October Meeting program on Thursday, October 17th. He presented attendees with handouts detailing how to scan and digitized historic photographs.
As an example he explained that Carl Shumaker of Galion, Ohio had the original of the above photograph. It was a blurred photo ready to trash. After Mike’s hard work, this is what he was able to restore. He also gave the history of Windfall Church/School northwest of Galion.
