The North Robinson United Brethren in Christ Society was organized some time previous to 1844 with eight charter members. In 1859, the first house of worship was erected a half mile south of the village. The building was moved into town and improved in 1875. When plans were made to build a new church, the old church was sold to a pop factory and now is used as school property. There have been two mergers within this congregation – in 1946 with Evangelical Church, and in 1968 with the Methodist Church.
The Church has been on a circuit at different time with Middletown, Leesville, Biddle, New Winchester and Liberty Chapel. In 1977, Leesville and North Robinson were united as a Charge with Rev. Harold Johnson, part-time pastor, not living on the Charge. In 1982, Rev. Rose Ann Wilson became full-time pastor living on the Charge.
In the last few years, our church has had a new roof, new furnace, and basic maintenance done. The Sunday School room was re-decorated with the proceeds of a craft, flea market and bake sale. Oak chairs for the Sunday School were bought and refinished. Major maintenance has been done to repair the bell tower, panel the Narthex, and sidewalk of the parsonage to the Pastor’s office. Members of the church planted new shrubs and flowers in front and side of the church. A new organ and solid brass Communion set were bought from the memorials of Estelle Schory, Vance McLaughen and Chester Bogan.
