The articles below were originally published in various Bucyrus Newspapers in the 1880’s and 1890s.

Bucyrus Evening Telegraph September 3, 1897 – St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at Galion will have a set of chimes similar to the Bucyrus Catholic Church

Bucyrus Journal January 1, 1896 – Holy Trinity Catholic congregation, with many others, gathered in the school on Mary Street and had an unusually pleasant Christmas celebration.  Band furnished good music, the ladies furnished excellent refreshments, and all furnished general good feeling.  There were several handsome articles subscribed for and fortune favored the following:  Miss Kate Roelle drew a handsome silk quilt, presented by Mrs. Thomas Roelle; Miss Mary Kelley drew a table spread, presented by Mrs. Fagan; Thomas Wollsifer drew a fancy table cover, presented by Mrs. John Rolle Sr.; Mrs. George Russ drew a piano spread, presented by the Newhensal Bros. of Toledo.  The tickets for the clock were all taken by residents at Delphos and as the book was not at hand the drawing was postponed until St. Patrick’s Day 17th of March.

Bucyrus Journal May 23, 1884 – the Right Rev. Bishop Gilmour will administer the sacrament of confirmation at Holy Trinity Catholic Church and also the prelate will lay the cornerstone of the new church.  Among the documents will be the autographic signatures of as many Bucyrus citizens as I could get.  Each signer may donate something towards commencement of the new church.  The usual collection will be take.  H.
