May 7, 1886, Bucyrus Telegraph Forum – the first interment in the new Catholic Cemetery took place Sunday afternoon three little children of George Kronenberger being buried in one grave. Although the usual rite of consecrating the ground for the Holy Trinity Church has not been observed, the ceremony will be performed soon. Father Kollopp blessed the spot in which the children were laid away. For some time, the residents adjoining the new cemetery (Tiffin Street) have been objecting to its location and in order to arrange the matter amicably Father Kollopp offered to take three acres in the vicinity of Oakland (Oakwood) Cemetery. But this later plan was foiled by the fact $75 more was required to purchase the new plot. The matter has been settled pleasantly for all and the work of fitting up the present ground will proceed.
