Through the courtesy of Mrs. Ira Rizor, we present some news items from the “Bucyrus Journal” dated Friday, 2 Mayo 1873.
Mr. D. Ristine of Galion, is in a critical condition, his life is even regarded in serious danger by his friends, the, difficulty being diseased lungs resulting from an injury received four years ago by being thrown from a buggy.
On Monday, F.E. Frey, Esq. lady and infant left for Germany. They were attended to the Depot with a large company of friends who greeted them with many kind wishes for a pleasant and prosperous trip and a safe return.
On Thursday morning, A. Caldwell, Jr., shipped 17 fine promising young mules east. They created quite a sensation trotting through town without any halters.
