To celebrate the longevity of our organization, we will be posting articles from our inaugural newsletters over the next few months.
The below message was originally published in Volume 1, Issue 1 of the Crawford County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society Newsletter in January, 1975.

Message from the President:
Crawford County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society Newsletter. Volume 1 Issue 1. January 1975.
We begin our second year as the Crawford County Genealogical Society by expanding our services to include publication of a newsletter.
Mary Jo Weingart, our publications chairman, was given the task of putting together an experimental issue of a newsletter to see if such a venture would be possible for our group. Mary Jo did it so expertly that at the January meeting, the membership voted to begin the publication of a newsletter on a quarterly basis. We appreciated all of Mary Jo’s work in writing, organizing, and typing that issue of the newsletter. Our newsletter is in good hands.
