You’re Invited! Join the Montgomery County OGS for a Tour of David’s Cemetery!
Join the Montgomery County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society and representatives of David’s Cemetery on Saturday, March 23, 2024, for the first of four cemetery tours hosted throughout the year.
The David’s Cemetery tour will take visitors around the cemetery and stop at specific gravesites to highlight that person and/or family. We will tell the story of what they did during their lifetime that contributed to making Dayton and Montgomery County the great place that it is today.

- The first person buried at David’s Cemetery
- Learn about the larger families buried here
- Learn about some of Dayton and Montgomery County’s earliest pioneers
- Interesting people throughout the history of the area
- What can we learn from a cemetery regarding genealogy research and local history?
Check-in for the event will start at 1:00 pm, and the tour will begin at 1:30 and will continue until the last story is told. The tour is expected to last about two hours.
Parking is available at David’s Church and there will be goodies and swag bags!
