German Community Forum Continues April 17th!
Last month, PalAm-Ohio resumed its German Community Forums. A free program, open to the public, and usually held monthly at the main Columbus Public Library from September through May, we are conducting the Forums via Zoom until further notice.
Our next Forum will be April 17, 2021 from 1:15 p.m. to 3:13 p.m. Diana Druback will be presenting on “German Family Immigrates in New York City.” During the 1800’s, New York City had the third largest German speaking populations of Germans. The speaker’s German great grandparents and five of their siblings immigrated to and settled in New York City.
Due to a conflict, we have moved our previously announced April topic to May. On May 8, 2021 Carol Swinehart will discuss “How to Use Matricula to Find German Catholic & Other Church Records.” The program will also start at 1:15 p.m.
Register for either or both programs via e-mail to info@oh-palam.org
. Be certain to include which session you plan to attend in your message so that we can send you log in information. All German Community Forum sessions are free and open to the public. Please feel free to share and invite anyone you know who may be interested.
