Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the board has decided to cancel the April 16th, 2020 chapter meeting. We ask that everyone stay safe and reach out to local programs and authorities if assistance is needed.

We are planning to post-pone Bruce Shealy’s program on military uniforms until later in the year. Here is a sneak peak of what we can expect!

My name is Bruce Shealy and I live in New Washington and am retired from the Herald Printing Company here in town.  I have always been interested in history and belong to the New Washington Historical Society.  While still in high school, a World War I veteran in our church gave me his army uniform.  From that time I have been collecting military uniforms.  This year marks 75 years since the end of World War II in 1945.  So I have planned a display of uniforms of individuals who were in the service in 1945, along with some facts about them.  Each of the veterans displayed was from Crawford County.
