The Crawford County Chapter of the Oho Genealogical Society turns 50 this year!
To celebrate the longevity of our organization, we will be posting articles from our inaugural newsletters over the next few months.
I was delighted to read in the January 1975 newsletter that the Board of Directors donated $20 to support the card catalog at the OGS Library that at the time was located in Mansfield.
Why? Because in 2023, the Crawford County Chapter of OGS continued the tradition of supporting genealogical research at our Ohio libraries when they approved sizable donations to each of the Crawford County Public Libraries to be used for enhancing their genealogy collections or to purchase equipment that is needed for genealogical research and supporting genealogists. I was glad that supporting family historians has always stayed the focus of our organization since the beginning!
